This beautiful and unique cultural heritage of Orissa was within a span of over 60 years of its Regeneration attracted & inspired both art lovers as well as artists all over the world. A large number of dancers from different parts of the world have been drawn towards orissa like bees to honey. We among the dancers fraternity feel responsible in both patronizing as well as encouraging this unprecedented enthusiasm of the world to this unique art form.
Keeping this in view, the dance institute ‘NRUTYANGANA’ founded by Guru Sri. Subash Chandra Swain has conceived a dance festival by the name of “Odissi Nrutya Samman” to be awarded to a renowned & deserving artists for his / her lifelong contribution for bringing Odissi to the limelight through unflinching devotion, dedication & perseverance.
Guru Shri Subash Chandra Swain along with a group of artists, connoisseurs & lovers of art have taken this bold & emphatic step in planning & processing as well as rewarding artists of National 7 International repute who have taken Odissi not merely as a profession, but as a “Sadhana which requires years of dedication devotion & sacrifice.
We Nrutyangana always endeavor to hype the culture, heritage & tradition of Orissa Tourism & Art. We welcome you all to take part in this Grand Festive Time and to make it memorable.
